Economic Development Manager Schaumburg Business Association Position Summary: Reporting directly to the Schaumburg Business Association President, the Economic Development Manager provides the following services to the SBA in a key professional staff position: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION -Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the Village of Schaumburg staff and elected officials through the implementation of the public/private partnership as established under the guidelines of the SBA. -Manage annual business recruitment, retention, and expansion (BRE) surveys; identify quality business prospects, and establish and execute marketing campaigns to attract those businesses to the community and to association membership. -Communicate with industry representatives to encourage location, retention, or expansion of business in Schaumburg, IL; maintain effective working relationships with developers, brokers, and other resources for bringing business prospects to Schaumburg. -Work with SBA membership team to develop and maintain positive working relationships with existing Schaumburg businesses.
