NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND PROPOSALS FROM LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT FIRMS FOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the Schaumburg Park District, an Illinois park district of Cook County, Illinois (the "District"), is requesting statements of qualifications and performance data from landscape architect firms interested in providing landscape design and landscape architectural services for a natural area playground to be developed at the District's Spring Valley Nature Center ("Statements of Qualifications" or "SOQ/Proposal"). The SOQ/Proposal must be submitted in accordance with the Request for Qualifications and Proposals - Landscape Architectural Services Schaumburg Park District Spring Valley Natural Playground Project Dated October 29, 2014 (the "RFQ/RFP"), copies of which may be obtained from the Schaumburg Park District located at the Jerry Handlon Administration Building, 235 East Beech Drive, Schaumburg, Illinois, 60193. The District's Selection Committee will make evaluations and rank the top three landscape architectural firms based on the interview and criteria set forth in the RFQ/RFP and will attempt to negotiate a contract with the highest ranked landscape architect firm at fair and reasonable compensation at a fixed price or hourly cost with a not to exceed cap. If the District is not able to negotiate a contract with the firm which is preferred, negotiations with that firm shall be terminated and negotiations shall begin with the firm which is next preferred, and if the District is not able to negotiate a contract with the second ranked firm, negotiations with that firm shall be terminated and negotiations shall begin with the third ranked firm.
